The Poetic Hustlers' Club is a collective of poems related to social issues that affect all of us. This month's poem is about the support of Asian communities behind the deaths of unarmed Black citizens at the hands of racist police officers and other citizens. I know you’ve felt oppression too/ And you’re watching your fellow officer put his knee on the neck of a dude?// You were right there, you had a heck of a view/ If you was Black, you’d be an Uncle Tom, but you’re an Uncle Tou//// And I’m still confused There’s people rioting and tearing stuff up, and now y’all are upset/ But this situation keeps happening, what did you expect?// People are sick of being bullied by you bitches in blue/ Weak men in uniform, united by one rule//// Get you badge cuz you think it gives you a pass/ To go around just choking people and whooping their ass// To officers that uphold the law, much respect/ But we are tired of having y’all knees on our necks//// And yet, I’m STILL confused!
