Meet Our Hosts

Standup Comedian, Kris James
Kris James, began doing comedy in 2010, on the mean streets of NYC (honestly, they weren’t that mean). His comedic style blends both crowd work with cultural observations. A combination sure to offend everyone equally. He’s performed in several countries, and opened for the likes of Judah Friedlander, The Kings of K-Town, Ron Josol, and more.

Standup Comedian, Kristen Pimley
Kristen Pimley is a Seoul-based comedian and producer who grew up in small-town Indiana (which explains a lot). Known for jokes that make you wonder whether to laugh or call a therapist, she trained at Second City and with The Onion. Kristen is the reigning Seoul Roast Battle champion. She has opened for comics like Ron Josol and Hans Kim, been regularly featured in The Korea Times, and has performed in nine countries (and counting).

Standup Comedian, Steve Gallas
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, USA, Steve Gallas is a comedian who regularly performs in and produces shows with Standup Seoul. He has a background in fiction writing and academia, and draws on that foundation to offer his unique, satirical perspective of the world. Steve’s interests include reading, travel, and watching unintentionally funny movies.

Standup Comedian, D. Hall
D. Hall is a frequent headliner who performs globally. He’s headlined festivals, won comedy competitions, and has been a comedian in residence with a prominent museum in North Carolina. Whether he’s performing in Seoul, Tokyo, London, etc. it’s always a party. He brings a solid comedy vibe to Lit and is proud to call it the home of his first comedy special, Nunchi.
